Steinway B 1935

This Steinway B came down through the family. Twenty years ago I rebuilt the keys with help from Roy Drevitson, who was the master piano echnician in our area. The magogany wasn't anything special and there were some depressions in the top. I decided to go with satin black.

Getting it into the shop was a big deal because even the small ones weigh over 500 lbs. This room is where I stripped and sanded down to the wood.

I took everything apart except the works. Removing the works is something only qualified technicians can do.

Sealing, staining, spraying....I used Target Coatings for everything.

In its new spot. All it needs is a proper bench. Many thanks to Skip Downing, Bywater Piano Service, for his help and advice.
